We are seeking an energetic, reliable, Hockey Coach and Off-Ice Trainer to join our hockey facility team.

The ideal candidate has prior hockey coaching experience, enjoys working with youth athletes, and creates a fun, safe, and encouraging environment where athletes can build confidence, skills, and a love for the game.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist with on-ice hockey practices, clinics, camps, and recreational programs

  • Run off-ice gym activities, warmups, conditioning, and age-appropriate athletic development exercises

  • Teach hockey fundamentals including skating, shooting, passing, stickhandling, and teamwork

  • Create a fun, engaging, and positive experience for all participants

  • Ensure player safety both on and off the ice

  • Encourage sportsmanship, confidence, and teamwork

  • Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and participants

  • Help set up and organize equipment and training areas

  • Support special events, birthday parties, camps, and school break programs as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous hockey coaching or playing experience preferred

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Positive attitude and high energy

  • Ability to motivate and engage young athletes

  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

  • Comfortable working both on the ice and in a gym/recreational setting
